Here is the finished painting of "Dolphins at Play"! I am so glad I finished it and I'm really happy with how it turned out. These two dolphins are laughing and playing under the sea, what fun!
The Color Gold is a completed ACEO. I thoroughly enjoyed painting this piece. The painting was inspired by the book "Hail Stones and Halibut Bones",which was my favorite book to read as a child. And the part in the book about gold is one I read over and over again. I can't get enough of it.
I have just started a new water color and I think I will call it "Dolphins at Play". It is a WIP.
Here are three cheerful dolphins snickering under the sea from a little fish joke. I was painting this water color/color pencil "Dolphin Trio" along with the "Dolphins at Play" today at school and I like how they are turning out. I found that starting out with color pencil and then painting over the art card is a great technique for getting the appearance I want.
Here is my first post on my brand new Blog! I recently began the mermaid manatee painting, and I love it so far. Although you can not see the sparkles very well, the painting is full of them. There are long strokes of glittering color throughout the piece. The painting is 5.6" x 8.75". I am not yet finished with painting it, but I'm nearly there, so it is a WIP (work in progress).
